Island Hopping

Yes, we know, autumn in Central Virginia is beautiful.  However....we love the islands this time of year and want to dash off to paradise.

How does Barbados sound?

More precise -- how does Sandy Lane Resort sound?  Let's have a look, shall we?

From here, we'll jaunt over to Petit St. Vincent.  I believe this is what heaven looks like.

Next up:  Spice Island Beach Resort.... even the name sounds exotic and sexy.

Africa...The Motherland.

We are travelers at heart and are inspired daily by many things at C.A. Camp & Sannino.

Potent blends of flower roots, balms and spices are thought to bring love and sensuality into the lives of these heavenly scented women. This takes perfumery back to its roots as the word perfume translates literally as per fumum or through smoke, offering up combinations of scented balms and resins to the gods above. Timbuktu has piquant notes of green mango and creamy karo-karoundé flower to balance the pink pepper, cardamom, and vetiver. Cloaked in smoke from papyrus wood, incense and patchouli, this sensual and airy scent is beautifully ancient yet profoundly modern.

A Nice House

We read a lot here at Camp & Sannino.  One of our favorite eye-candy reads is Harper's Bazaar.  The September issue features a home that caused Carlin to stop in her tracks. 

Love, love, love!  

Put this home in Taos, New Mexico and Carlin would be all over it.  Modern architecture.  Beautiful climate, raw heady beauty.

 Such a vibrant, alive city ~~ Mexico City!

The people are lovely and the art abounds!!

 "Mexico City's extremes - its wealth and poverty, the tranquility of its leafy parks and the sunburned chaos of its hectic avenues - are particularly conducive to its current edgy creativity."

 "Armed police officers now patrol the once dangerous corners, the cobblestone streets are kept tidy and swept and kiosks with panic buttons are a common sight. (Which is not to say there is no crime, there is merely less of it in the guarded areas.)"

 The food is spectacular!  How about a snack of flash-fried grasshoppers?!

When Carlin travels to Mexico City her favorite hangout is (did you guess?) a museum.
